Multi chine steel construction, a flush deck and a scoop stern make this a popular yacht. The flush deck and the way the space is used give this yacht a feeling of spaciousness. Designed primarily as a long distance, blue water yacht for a couple with occasional guests, the Fay 32 has made many long passages. The first Fay 32 was built in 1995 and in initial trials the yacht was sailed for over 10,000 tough ocean miles. The first Fay 32 has recently been sailed to New Zealand by her new owners and has earned the reputation of being a fast yacht. The photograph on our home page is of a Fay 32 racing in a single handed race during 'Sea Week' in the Azores. The long keel, transom hung rudder and trim tab self steering make this an easily handled ocean going yacht. An aft platform makes boarding after swimming and from the dinghy easy while also protecting the rudder.
