Paul Fay's General Information website.

  Paul Fay Dip.Mar.Sur.

Welcome to my general yacht information site. I have sailed something like 80,000 miles since 1975 including five Atlantic crossings. I am married to Mo who has sailed four times across the Atlantic - one crossing single handed and we  live aboard our yacht 'Ti Gitu'. So far together we have sailed Ti Gitu about 30,000 miles.

I have designed and built a number of yachts along with repairing and surveying yachts. I am an I.I.M.S qualified marine surveyor and have a City and Guilds qualification as an electronics engineer and have attended Perkins Engines marine engineers trade training.

Along the way Mo and I have learnt lots of things from both our sailing and my work on yachts which we want to share as much as possible. As far as possible I have kept the information simple by not including much theory or in depth technical details.

By using the links on the left you will find information about many aspects of yachts and sailing and we will continue to add to the list.

Included are pages of links to sites of interest and to companies that I have used with a brief description of what they offer and the sort of service I have received. Any information that you think will be of interest to others can be sent to me by email and if included I will make it clear where it came from.
